Rapid advances in medical research and treatment of serious medical conditions increase the chances of surviving a stroke, cancer or heart attack. Medical costs associated with the critical illness treatments remain high. Keeping this in mind, MetLife Bangladesh presents a CI policy that associates protection with return of Premium, offering you a win-win situation no matter what happens.

Diagnosis/Surgery Benefit

Upon diagnosis of or actual undergoing of surgery for, as the case may be, any of the covered critical illnesses, MetLife will pay coverage amount selected by you, ranges from BDT 200,000 – 2,000,000.

100% Premium Back

In the happy likelihood of your remaining healthy and do not have to use the protection element until end of the coverage period, you will be entitled to 100% payback of the total Premiums paid throughout the term of the Policy.

Death due to Covered Critical Illness

In case of death due to a covered critical illness, MetLife will pay the selected coverage amount to your Beneficiary(es), ranges from BDT 200,000 – 2,000,000.

Death due to non Covered Critical Illness

MetLife shall pay one-tenth of coverage amount, or return the Premiums paid-to-date without interest (whichever is higher) to the Beneficiary(es).

Name of the Covered Critical Illness

Kidney Failure, End-stage Liver Failure, Stroke, Cancer (excluding skin cancer), First Heart Attack, Coronary Artery surgery, Serious Coronary Artery Diseases, Heart Valve surgery/replacement, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (primary), Benign Brain Tumor.

4.      The term “Rider” wherever used herein shall mean and include any supplementary contract(s) attached with the basic Policy. The Rider is not a standalone product and it requires a basic Policy (the information/list of eligible basic Policy will be available to MetLife Financial Associate(s) and the required basic Policy(ies) shall be determined by MetLife) to become operative. The Rider (if any) attached with the basic Policy, will be automatically terminated on the termination and/or expiry date of the Rider or at the end of the Premium payment term, whichever is earlier.
