Certain digital services may utilize artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and predictive analytics to generate health-related insights and recommendations; however, AI does not make final insurance, underwriting or claims decisions without appropriate human oversight. Personal information may be processed, accessed, stored or transferred within Bangladesh and, where necessary for the provision of services, in other jurisdictions, subject to appropriate safeguards. Individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements. MetLife is committed to processing personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026 of Bangladesh. Where there is any difference between applicable legal, regulatory or MetLife privacy requirements, the requirement providing the higher level of protection to personal data shall prevail.

Participation in such services is voluntary and users may choose not to participate or may withdraw from such services at any time, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

MetLife may engage any service providers and technology partners to support health and wellness services, health analytics, wellness scoring, personalized wellness insights, wearable device integration and related digital health functionalities. Such parties process personal information solely for authorized purposes and are required to implement appropriate security, confidentiality and privacy safeguards in accordance with applicable contractual, legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Health Analytics

Certain health and wellness features offered through One by MetLife may utilize Artificial Intelligence ("AI"), machine learning and predictive analytics technologies to assess wellness indicators, generate health and wellness scores, provide personalized insights and support relevant recommendations. Any recommendations or insights generated through such technologies are intended solely for informational and wellness purposes and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations or professional healthcare services. MetLife does not use AI to make underwriting, insurance coverage, claims or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Appropriate human oversight is maintained over relevant processes and decision-making activities.

The features of the One by MetLife app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Any health scores, wellness insights, recommendations or analytics generated through the One by MetLife application or associated health and wellness services are intended solely for informational and wellness purposes and should not be relied upon as professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Personal information collected through MetLife's websites, mobile applications and digital channels may be collected, processed, accessed, stored or transferred within Bangladesh and, where necessary to provide services, in other jurisdictions by MetLife, and other authorized service providers acting on MetLife's behalf. Appropriate contractual, technical and organizational safeguards are implemented to protect personal information during such transfers in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026 of Bangladesh.

Users may request deletion of their account, profile, or personal data through the App or by contacting MetLife. Deletion requests will be processed in accordance with applicable laws and MetLife's data retention requirements. I understand that this information may be used to provide health and wellness services, generate wellness scores and insights, support health engagement, provide personalized recommendations, support product recommendation and lead follow-up, improve app functionality, perform analytics, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

I understand that certain features may use artificial intelligence, machine learning or predictive analytics to generate wellness scores, health-related insights or recommendations. These outputs are for informational and wellness purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare services, and the app is not a medical device. MetLife will not rely solely on AI-generated outputs to make underwriting, insurance coverage, claims or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on me without appropriate human oversight.

I understand that my information may be processed, accessed, stored or transferred by MetLife and its authorized service providers acting on MetLife’s behalf, subject to contractual, technical and organizational safeguards.

I may choose not to activate these features, and I may withdraw my consent or discontinue participation at any time through the app or by contacting MetLife. Withdrawal of consent may limit my ability to use the health and wellness features, but it will not affect processing that was lawfully carried out before withdrawal or any retention required by law, regulation, audit, security, dispute resolution, insurance, or record retention obligations.

Upon account deletion, MetLife and its authorized service providers will delete or anonymize associated health and wellness information, Rest assured that health/wellness data is retained only as long as necessary for stated purposes, account operation, legal/regulatory/audit/security obligations according to MetLife Information Lifecycle Management retention requirement.

However, where an individual has submitted a lead, requested information about MetLife products or services, expressed an interest in purchasing insurance products, or where retention is otherwise required by law or regulation, certain information may continue to be retained by MetLife for those permitted purposes.
