Financial coverage for your unexpected medical cost

A sudden illness or accident may occur anytime, anywhere to anyone’s life; and the financial loss due to such unexpected incidents could affect your financial health and plans. Hospitalization due to accident or illness is stressful, and having to worry about hospital bills during that time only makes matters worse. MetLife’s MediCare Rider is here to make your life easier with these 2 benefits:

  • Minimum BDT 1,000 to a maximum of BDT 20,000 per day of your stay at a hospital due to accident or illness.
  • In-hospitalization Benefit up to 30 consecutive days and for a total of 360 days during Policy coverage period, even if you are admitted in a free hospital.

Financial benefit

You can get minimum BDT 1,000 to a maximum of BDT 20,000 per day of your stay at a hospital due to accident or illness.

No medical tests

You don’t need any additional medical tests to take MediCare (A service by Metlife Bangladesh).

Benefits for Family

All of your family members can get MediCare under your name without having to fill out individual health insurance application forms.

Premium Mode

You can pay premiums for MediCare annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly, same as your Policy

Disclaimers:

1.    The term “Rider” wherever used herein shall mean and include any supplementary contract(s) attached with the basic Policy. This Rider is not a standalone product and it requires a basic Policy (the information/list of eligible basic Policy will be available to MetLife Financial Associate(s) and the required basic Policy(ies) shall be determined by MetLife) to become operative. The Rider (if any) attached with the basic Policy, will be automatically terminated on the termination and/or expiry date of the Rider or at the end of the Premium payment term, whichever is earlier.

2.      This Rider is underwritten by American Life Insurance Company (‘MetLife’) and is always subject to terms and conditions of the basic Policy and Rider issued by MetLife. The information contained in this page is intended only for general understanding of the customers. The detailed terms, conditions and exclusions are included in the contract of insurance. For any discrepancies between the information contained herein and contract of insurance, the later shall prevail.

3.      If any discrepancies are found between Bangla and English version of this page, English version shall be considered as correct.

4.      This Rider is not available in the United States, or offered to U.S. persons; for purposes of this statement, a U.S. person is a citizen or resident of United States (including a U.S. permanent resident residing outside the U.S.), U.S. partnership and any trust that is controlled by one or more U.S. persons and is subject to the supervision of a U.S. Court.
