Headquartered in New York City, MetLife operates its business in Asia through its regional offices headquartered in Hong Kong.

MetLife’s story in Asia can be traced back to Bangladesh when operations first began in 1952. Leveraging its strong financial credentials and world class capabilities, MetLife has pursued an organic growth strategy in Asia supplemented by a number of alliances and acquisitions to broaden its locations, product and service offering to capture the attractive growth opportunities in the region.

Following the recent additions in Southeast Asia which included Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar, MetLife has now successfully established a diversified geographical footprint spanning 11 markets in Asia. MetLife Asia has delivered a solid performance, and continues to rank as a significant contributor to MetLife’s global earnings.
